A friend of mine once formulated the Rule of Sports Cars. This was when
he was restoring a TR3 and driving a Fiat Spyder, with a 1964 Dodge Dart
convertible for backup. It went something like "In a two sports car
household, the probability is that only one sports car will be operable
at any given time. Should both sports cars become simultaneously
operable, any other vehicles in the household will spontaneously
malfunction. The converse, however, is not true -- just because one or
more vehicles is malfunctioning does not ensure that the remaining
vehicle or vehicles will not malfunction."
Charley & Peggy Robinson had this to say:
>
> When I bought the current MGB (engine dangling above the bay, ready to
>gao back in) all my other cars were running fine. Spent several months
>correcting DPO problems on the B. The other cars/trucks got jealous,
>started pooping out. Haven't got my head above water since.
