Chris; Although you may indeed have a failure of some alt. components the symptom you describe fits a much more simple scenario which I have encountered. Off at idle, on at higher RPM may simply be an alt. belt which is pulling at idle but slips under the greater load when you increase. I suggest that you check this before you spend a lot of time and money. George '76 MGB driver |
