Anyway I'm looking for a color cross chart f.i. black = ground etc.
Is there some list around for a '66 Midget?

Hans,

You have a couple of options. you can clean the old ground area really well
and use some dielectric grease on the ground point. This will help protect
it from the elements. Of course, every once in a while, you'll want to clean
it up and reaply. Your other option would be to make a new ground point to
the chasis in some inconspicuous place that would be sheltered from the
elements. If you're going for originality, stay with the stock ground point.

Colors--- I think the color coding was the same for the 66 as well as the
newer models. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong) You should be dealing with a
Red, Green w/red tracer, and Black. The Green/Red may be green at the light.
