Unfortunately, you have made the common mistake of assuming that a fluid oz. is the same in Imperial and US measures. It is not. Converting to litres: 1 US Gallon = 3.785 litres 1 Imperial Gallon = 4.546 litres 4.546/3.785 = 1.20 So a UK gallon is only 20% larger than a US gallon, not 25% Simon |
