The slave cylinder goes at the bottom of the backplate and the bleed screw
is below the inlet pipe. The adjuster goes at the top of the backplate.
This should put the exit hole for the handbrake lever at the rearmost of the
two positions, and the external part of the lever itself should point
backwards when in situ. The short arm of the handbrake lever goes through
the triangular hole in a shoe and the long arm goes through a slot. The top
spring has one coil in the centre and goes behind the shoes, and if you only
have one bottom spring it should have two coils and also goes at the rear of
the shoes, the end with the long hook goes through the rear-most shoe. If
you have the second bottom spring that also has two coils but the hooks are
of equal length.
