A PO of my car also had stock in Dow Corning,  I did the same thing you
are considering.  Now my B leaks.  It did not leak AT ALL before I
parked it on cardboard and never saw a drop, in fact that is how I
found a loose radiator hose. Now I park it on cardboard to keep it from
leaving an oil on my floor...   Next time I am in there I am going to
silicone the whole thing.  I have looked for clear silicone to make it
less apparent, the best I have found is black...
