OEM works for me. The rear muffler has lasted almost ten years now. The
front one has been on the car since I bought it (almost 12 years ago) and
was old then. Can't get that kind of longevity out of most parts-store
mufflers (my wife's Honda used to eat a muffler every 18 months -- now
that I think of it those were dealer parts, too).
No point in getting stainless unless you do the whole system end-to-end.
Don't really need some kind of "hi-performance" muffler unless you've
modified the engine, or just want the looks or sound. But the original
sound is pretty distinctive, I think. Why make it sound like a "rice
rocket" (no offense intended)?
