I found this NAMGBR technote and want to make sure I understand it properly.... "Also, in the 1977 - 1980 models, a failure of the brake warning light diode can allow the engine to start when the handbrake is pulled UP!" That is, the diode bites the dust, then one day you pull up the handbrake and the engine starts? Maybe the tales of Lucas aren't all that farfetched after all...
