no fork travel on clutch

Hi list, I bled my clutch with the help of my wife and the old jar and
tubing technique. We pumped until no air bubbles were visible coming out of
the tubing attached to the nipple. However, after I close the bleed nipple
there is very little fork travel. What am I doing wrong? I checked all the
pipe connections and there are no liquid leaks? Help! Enrique
