I put a K&N in my Mitsubishi and noticed a definite increase in power. The
old paper filter wasn't crudded up or anything, but the power went up. The
gas consumption also went up. You can't get more power without using more
gas, so be ready for that.
The K&N filter is guaranteed for 1 million miles, and you just clean and
re-oil it once a year. It actually works out to be a decent value.
Just my 2 cents, YMMV.
