Eric, Just a note on your gearbox. Usually the culprit on the jumping-out-of-gear scenario is a weak detent spring, worn detent plunger (ball on the early cars), or a worn shifting fork rod. I always replace the detent springs and balls, and carefully inspect the plungers and rods when rebuilding a gearbox. Just my .02. Eric Swanger Too many cars, so little time |
