Think back to the circumstances of the first failure - assuming he had the
car for at least a month before the first one went - any clues there?
Could be an electrical fault at the connectors or elsewhere on the car
causing excessive current draw, you will need a clip-on ammeter or a 60+Amp
ammeter to measure it, but if it gets excessively hot in comparison to other
cars that might be a clue.
