Hail to the list
I'm an "L" driver (lurking and learning) and have found multiple answers
for my questions in the archives so am trying not to bother the group with
trivial stuff. But... this one is stumping me (and it's probably very
trivial and very easy!)
Just had the master brake cylinder rebuilt (80 MGB). When bleeding the
brakes had no trouble with the front but couldn't get anything from the
back, there was absolutely no pressure. Disconnected the rear brake line
from the MC and nothing. No leaking, no spurting, no fluid (yes - there IS
fluid in the reservoir). What's the problem? I read a little in the
archives about possible problems with push rods and/or brake springs but
wasn't able to figure out what they meant.
Quite simply, there is fluid in the reservoir. Is it possible there's
something blocking it? There is some suction when the correct
connection/socket (terminology :) on the MC is covered and the brakes are
pumped.
Again, apologies to the list if this has been covered - but I couldn't find
the answer in the archives (maybe didn't know what I was looking for?)
Regards
Cathy
