My Nephew is going to replace the bushings on the front end of his 74.5
B and yes, he is going to use the V8 version. He has heard from
reputable sources that you pretty much have disassemble the front
suspension to get at it for replacement. His Father (67BGT) wants to
know why you could not just take out the bolt involved to replace the
bushing (paraphrasing him). I do not have my car with me so I cannot
check and am not qualified to speak on it anyways. If it is required to
do a substantial disassembly to the front end then what would the list
suggest also be done after to going to that trouble. I figured the
replacement of any non-metal parts (brake lines, washers, boots etc) and
then stripping and repainting everything else that had to be removed.
Suggestions?
Ideas?
hints?
Flames???
