just wire a bulb (12V idiot light of your preference (or LED))
across the solinoid to ground. You can't tap into the wire
at the junction near the fuse box like some say. This only puts you on the
Stalk Switch side of things not on the Tranny solinoid side of the O/D gear
box limit switch. Her is the only place tyyou can tap it an know the light
is on only when all the switches are closed and the 12V is getting to the
solinoid.

Subject: non od and OD trannys
>At a recent seminar held by the Eastern NY MGA Club at Quantum Mechanics
>in Monroe CT, it was again advised DO NOT use hypoid 90 weight in your
>OD boxes! The pump is working at about 400psi. Stick with a staight
>weight non-detegent 30 weight oil. A multigrade will cause foaming and
>air through the OD pump is not good.
>Also, John, the owner said that 50% of the rebuilds he sees are caused
>by driving in reverse with the OD still energized! Once that happens,
>you get a loud BANG and goodbye OD. I'm putting them into my 67BGT and
>the 64B and maybe the A coupe, but I'd like to wire a warning light
>letting me know there is no current going to the OD for sure!
>Any ideas how to do that, group?
