As written before, I have just dragged home a new project. The trip from
BC was a wet and sloppy one so I now have some very light surface rust
starting on some of the stripped surfaces of the body. Luckily (?!) it is
going to get really cold here so I don't think the rust will progress too
quickly. Nonetheless, does anyone have a recommendation for something to
spray or wipe onto the car to remove/arrest the rust? I thought about WD40
but I am worried that it would somehow screw up something and cause paint
to fall off in the future. I will be starting the body work in a few
months so real long term protection is probably not necessary. Also a
water based product probably won't work because of the temps. Nancy would
also prefer that it doesn't stink to high heaven as well.
Thanks,
Bill Eastman
