They are.

Common thing. Usually they think that the driver is afraid to get his
paint scratched. Unfortunately they forget old brakes are not as
efficient as the modern ones. The way to avoid people to cut in front of
you is to keep your speed as high as possible at all times and look them
directly in the eyes, showing as much white as possible to give the
impression you're insane and don't care what hits you. In a VW bus
however, they may only think you're scared.
