Subject: Re: MG in Australia
Date: Mon, 27 Jul 1998 09:16:46 +0100
From: Phil Raby <mgworld@chp.ltd.uk>
Graham,
Thanks for responding to my email.
I need pix to illustrate a feature on the history of MG in Australia.
Here's some of the things mentioned in the piece which we could use pix
for:
K3 Magnettes inc one raced by Hope Bartlett
Bill Thompson's Magna at the 1934 Grand Prix
MGs at the 1935 GP (took first 3 places!)
John Sherwood's T type at 1938 GP and his NE Magnette
Postwar MGs in Australia
The Australian Nuffield factory
Australian built MGAs and MGBs (latter all had wire wheels, apparently),
esp in CKD form
'MkII' and 'Overdrive' badges on MGB
RV8/MGF in Australian setting
Australian MG events
Deadline: ASAP!
Hope you can help!
Cheers,
Philip Raby
