The height difference came about mainly through chassis changes, although rear
springs are also harder to cope with the extra weight so the car sits a little
higher (about 1/2 inch). The fronts are harder but shorter so the height
difference is even less.
There are lowering kits, also springs with less set, but you have to consider
the effect on the lever arm dampers. Moving the 'normal' ride position from
the centre of the travel could cause the damper to 'bottom' at one or
other extreme of axle travel.
