Subject: | adjustment of plastic floats in SU HS carbs |

Just received replacement floats for my SU HS carbs on the 66 MGB. Unlike the old ones, the replacements are all plastic so there is no arm to bend. The question is: do I set the clearance to 1/8" between the lid and the float using washers under the needle valve or are the floats shaped so that they don't need adjusting? I have some new, appropriate washers from a S.U. rebuild kit I bought years ago for the Volvo wagon Dirk |
