Well,
While we're discussing odd parts...Any smart MG seat belt experts who know
what years are the same?
I've had little luck with finding a seatbelt receiver part (the female
"latch" piece that bolts to the tunnel)
Actually, I found one on a junkyard '73 and promptly rounded the bolt head
trying to get it off!
And, I've got two of them (the friendly source will remain anonymous to
avoid embarrasment)that are a different year, I think newer.
The ones I have are like this:
___<narrow hole for seat belt (male part)
\ ---- \ < button on the side here
\ / "KANGOL" printed in the plastic
\--|
| < skinny cable-like, plastic covered shaft that bolts to the tunnel
The one I need for my '73 is like this:
____<wider hole for seat belt
/ \
| O | < round button on the outer face labeled "press"
---------
| | < wider plastic covered webbing
I'll trade the two that aren't doing me any good here! (or give them to the
needy) I only need ONE, with bolt. Any help?
TIA
Dan
