Having actually weighed the two engines, I can confirm the accuracy of these
numbers. By the time you add all the components to complete the engine,
starter, alternator, clutch, exhaust headers, oil, etc, - everything reuqired
to actually use the engines, the Ford comes in at 527, the TR6 at 468. By the
liberal use of aluminum - heads, intake, etc, the Ford weight can be reduced
to 432 pounds.
