Frank, Yes, the water from your dehumidifer is distilled. Unfortunately, it also contains dust, from the air in your house (or basement). You could probably pass it through coffee filter paper and remove this too. As cheap as distilled water is a gallon and no more than you need, I think I'd just use the distilled.
