My MGA 1500 averages about 24 mpg towing the luggage trailer loaded with
the camping gear or the race tires (or both).  More like 27 mpg without
the trailer.  22 mpg sounds pretty bad to me.  To do that I'd have to
drive about 80 mph with the trailer in tow.  (And yes, I've verified it.)
