I'd wager your battery ain't as hot as you think. It may just be that your horn
button is getting dirty with carbon but your grounds and electrical connections
may not be as keen as you might think. Getting your gas gauge to jump is a big
clue. After the starter, the horn probably draws more amps than any other
component on the car.

I'd also recommend to just live with it unless you get in one of those cleaning
frenzies and wanna start polishing your electrical connectors and buffing your
grounds.
