I'm on another quest for information from those that have boldly gone
before. My wipers have not worked since I have had my 70 Midget. The
problem is a less than professional job of installing the tubes. I have
replaced the worst tube on the right side but now find that the main
tube from the motor to the first (of three) wiper gear box is bent
enough that the cable is binding. I have a replacement tube from
another car that is in good condition and not bent up. I stuffed my
overweight, middle aged body (OF) under the steering wheel and I can see
the wiper gear box but can't seem to get a wrench on it. In the
unlikely event that I do manage to get the back off to remove the tube
how do I ever get it back together? I considered removing the dash, but
that too looks to be a nightmare. Any suggestions would be much
appreciated.
Thanks again, this list has saved me from myself on several occasions.
Maybe "Midget Susan" could stand up under the dash and fix this for me.
