Folks,
Well now it's really starting to annoy me, to put it politely.
I drove down to the gas station to fill up and put some fuel additive in
(as per Art's sugestion)
Well, going there everything is just lovely and I couldn't even get it t=
o
back fire. I'm thinking
that putting THAT particular rotor with THAT particular distributor must
have fixed the problem.
Well, I tank up and put in a can of STP whatever and leave, planning to
head to the nearest long
stretch of road, ready to give some serious stick. Well, guess what! N=
ow
it starts backfiring like crazy
in the exhaust and I can't get over 3000 rpm.
I felt like sticking a match to it but it's not insured for fire. Did yo=
u
ever see John Cleese banging
his car with a big tree branch?
Actually, doesn't this mean that it is not a mechanical fault, eg valve,
timing chain because it was
just fine going to the stinking gas station. =
