I'm not sure what the list will say about hits, BUT, Several years ago I
worked on Wakesha engines (7400 - 9250 cu in) (and Caterpiller sp?). we
used a lube called Lubriplate. It is a white "paste" that sticks to the
bearing races and will lube until the oil gets to the bearing. put a
squirt in the pump and it should be fine. Before I get flamed for this I
think that modern lubes are better than what was used 20 - 30 yrs ago.
You may want to stay original, but wahts better 2-3 sets of original
bearings and oilpumps or one tube of lubriplate?
