It's your call.

My '73 B already had a Carter electric pump on it so I stuck with that when
it heeded replacing. You could REPAIR the old one too. I believe Moss has the
kit. It would save you a bit of trouble making a different brand fit.

Are you a member of a club? An experienced MGer would probably help you with
the rebuild.

If you do decided to go non-original, make sure the pump is of a lower
pressure rating. 2 1/2 - 4 1/2 psig is right for imports, while american cars
can stand higher pressures in the 4 1/2 - 7 psig range. If you get too much
pressure, your carburetter float valves(s) won't be able to shut off and
you'll flood the bowl(s).
