Well, this is true the FCC wants to rule the Internet. It won't happen.
Your local ISP won't let it happen. ISP/C has its hand in it now, and will
stop it. The FCC can't do this. The Internet is an International thing,
even though it was started by the US government Defense Dept. in the late
70s and it was known as ARPANET or something like that.
Email or Call your ISP and tell them to jion this mialing list for more
info:
inet-access-request@earth.com with the words subscribe
in the body of the email. This is an ISP only list, and the FCC, TEleco
thing is a big deal on it. IF they don't get any FCC info from it they
will get lots of tech info and the such. IT is the ISP version of the MG
list.
Yo can find some info at http://www.ispc.org also.
Another thing. The TeleCo will soon start "taxing" your ISP, if the TeleCo
has its way. They want to charge ISPs for the use of the Phoneline
Infastructure in the US. THe cost will be past to you the user.
