About 2 years ago, I put braided lines on my car. At the time, I called
Moss and asked if they had them. They told me that they didn't carry them
because the lines didn't have a DOT approval. I think Moss has since
started selling them, so either the DOT has approved them, or Moss just
started doing what everyone else does.
To Sheree: The race car argument does not count since race cars put
different requirements on parts and parts are generally changed more often
(in terms of milage). I.e. the lines would undergo considerably more
flexing in the life of a street car, especially with soft suspension.
