I've seen where some rebuilds cost $1000! Yikes!
I was thinking more like $500 for a used in good shape non-rebuild one.
But, I will take a rebuilt one if it's not much more than that.
Thats why the Japanese tranny looks attractive. I could pick one up cheap,
and do a rebuild kit on it for cheap and have a tranny thats some what easy
to work on and not have to be a transmission specialist to do it.
