I keep hearing about getting a completely rebuilt
engine from somewhere.. Where are these places?
Are they in the States?

Hello Nina:
You should be able to get a completely rebuilt engine for $2K from one of
the usual providers. Of course, you would still have to pay shipping and
installation, but the $4K sounds exorbitant. I think I would get second
and third estimates from local shops.
