You could just give up and convert to negative ground.There are
instructions in the Moss catalog, and it certainly simplifies MG
ownership. Once that's done, you can get a "replacement" 12v washer
pump for under US$10 at any major car parts store which will hide
under the dash where TinTin will never see it. Just splice it into
the plastic tube from your washer bottle.This same store may also
have a replacement "starter" switch (momentary on, while you hold the
button down) with a big chrome push button to activate the new pump
which will exactly fill the hole in the dash where your manual pump
currently resides. I'm very glad I made the change. I found thumbing
the manual pump to be much too distracting while at the same time
avoiding the insane truck and automobile operators (definitely NOT
drivers) clotting I-5 in the Seattle area.
