I may not be the best person to help, as I'm very new to MG ownership, but I
think I may have an insight.....the engine in my 58 Magnette is #
BP15HCG-4987. So, I think it may be a sedan engine that someone swapped in
at some point.
BTW, the Magnette has a hose running from the valve cover pipe to the air
cleaner assembly(common air cleaner for both carbs.), and doesn't have a
tachometer, so no tach drive!
