I had a similar gasoline odor problem with my '80 B in the past. The '80 has a device that shuts down fuel flow to the carb in the event of a crash. It is located in front of the driver in the engine compartment and to the side of the brake box. It's mounted on the firewall. Mine would seep gas. Not a lot, but enough that I had the same symptoms. It's a hard one to find as it's a slow seeper, so you smell it, but can't see the leak. Worth a try. |
