Keith, The light is there to show a problem with the alternator. One side of the bulb is wired to the ignition key switch wire "hot" (white) which goes to the coil, fuel pump, etc. the other side of the bulb goes to a terminal on the alternator which would be "ground" (brown /yellow tracer) when the alternator has no output (not running and/or no output). You somehow have power on that white wire even though you say the ignition switch is off. Maybe the switch is broken. R. Johnson - Dallas |
