My '78 MGB with 96k miles is still running with the original fuel pump. I'm starting to worry a bit, especially since I plan to take it on a 1200 mile trip to New England next month. What's the normal life of SU pumps? I am considering some combination of a) replacing the diaphram, b) replacing the point set, c) replacing the whole pump. Or maybe I should just leave it alone. Comments would be appreciated... Larry Phillips Richmond, VA |
