To justify a replica on a cost basis is really silly when we are talking TD. A
new replica completely done cost the same as a good looking and fairly reliable
TD. Now if we want everyday transportation to travel at 65 in all weather, why
buy a replica which really doesn't have any creature comforts either. A good TD
properly maintained will perform with reliability, just like the replica.
Groups
from the NEMGTR drove their cars 7500 miles in 19 days in l986, and thousands
of
miles more on many trips since, and those cars that were well prepared
performed flawlessly.
Maybe a replica of a Bugatti makes sense, but not of a TD.
