Nowhere did I mention a glowing red hot wire. Were you thinking of
taking your toaster apart? :^). You run just enough current to warm up
the medium in question. This method has been successfully used to warm
ski boots and gloves. Also I think a guy here made a heated vest with
Thermocouple wire so he could ride in the winter. (I know these are
available for sale but this guy is too cheap to buy anything he can
make on company time.)
