Anybody else ever use lawnmowers as training grounds? When I first got my
Spit, and didn't have a clue what I was getting into, the carb died on it.
I was too afraid to work on it, so I rebuilt the carb on the lawnmower to
"introduce" myself to carbs. My housemates thought I just got a little
confused, and kept trying to push me back toward the Spit.
It did actually help to take it apart. While it was a less complicated
carb than on the Triumph (not by much :-) it got me familiar with the key
concepts. And now I bet I've got the darn best working lawnmower carb in
town! Hey... I've got a few spare ZS's and SU's around, I wonder what'd
happen if I hooked one up to the mower.
