The 'Old Speckled Hen' beer is, as rightly noted, a beer (actually pale ale)
brewed in England. It was however brewed by a company called Morland, who
are based in Abingdon, the home of MG, to comemerate (sp?) MG and the Old
Speckled Hen works trials team. It is an extremely nice beer, that is drunk
by in vast quantities at MG events throught the UK, often by MG nuts who
would not normally touch real ale - only weak and watery lager.
Unfortunatly, Paul Davis, I did not have any Old Speckled Hen beer at home
at the time, but I do have some eggs left so perhaps I'll have eggs and beer
for dinner tonight. Mmmm.
And I did mention that you had the BV8 for sale at our last club meeting,
but everyone was lacking at least one of the requirements to purchase is:
money; garage/workshop or time. Sorry.
