       Hi Karl,
                 I have used rims from SAABs as spare tires for my 74 MGB, in 
       fact, SAAB steel rims are allowed in the MG Owners Club racing series 
       on MGBs. I've used rims from an 1984 900 and my present 1989 9000S. 
       They would serve you well in the temporary service as a spare.
