In regards to the brake light/test switch, I found out that it does work
quite well. The switch lets you test the light works. If it doesn't come
on than either the light is burnt out or the switch is busted.
I found out that it does actually work when I was replacing the rear brake
cylinders. I forgot to bleed the brake lines after and found that the light
does come on to indicate the problem...you can also tell by the fact that
the brake pedal also goes straight to the floor. After I bled the lines,
the light doesn't come on any more.
