E30 BMW. I think it would fit the bill in every way. Depending on what
you're looking for, they start under $1000 for a decent coupe driver and go
up from there. The nice convertibles seem to cost about $5000.

?
?On a completely, unrelated topic to MGB V8 car weight, I'm
?exploring other "fun" cars that have 4 seats.
?With an upcoming family expansion next summer, I can't see the
?V8 getting much use. I'd still planning to hold onto it, but
?am exploring other options.
?
?I'm looking for a 4 seat car, preferably convertible, although
?not required, that has the persona of an MGB, ie., sporty,
?realatively cheap to purchase, easy to work on, etc. Doesn't
?have to be British, although
?I'm not looking for an American Muscle car.
?
?I'd even consider a "modern" car, if it fit the parameters. A
?new Mini Cooper S Convertible is out of current price range
?(see family expansion note above).
?
?Thanks!
?
?Glenn
