Always good to hear of another car owner on the list.
The car doesn't sound familiar to me, although it sounds nice.
Your low pressure problem may be debris in the tank or a clogged filter,
or a malfunctioning pump. A regulator only reduces the pressure fed into
it.
It can't increase the pressure.
Sometimes a fuel filter is put in an out of the way spot. Check
under the car
near the pump. While there check the connections to the pump
( Wouldn't it be nice if that was all it was ? )
