Arlie,
           Have you run over anything that could have bent 
the shaft ?  Sometimes it doesn't take much.
Or, in handling, something may have been dropped on it?
Something heavy could dent it. Or, the balance wights 
may have been knocked off.
         If a visual inspection doesn't turn up anything,
roll it . I use a couple of 2x4's, one near each u-joint, to keep
 them off the ground, and then one in the middle, for comparison.Does the
shaft roll freely and not lift in the center ?
( I do this on the flat concrete floor on my garage )
