Hi Bruce
The other thing to try is a difrent Intake. The Offenhauser is ment to be
lower.
Moving the engen would be good as it would inprove handeling.

Subject: Carb Clearance

I checked out the clearance between the Edelbrock 1404 carb sitting on an
Edelbrock 2198 Intake on my Rover 3.5. I put a piece of Plastercine on the
front edge of the carb (about the only spot you could get a level on to
level the carb from drivers - passengers sides) and shut the hood. I have 1
<" clearance. I was wondering if any one would know the measurement (height
thickness) of the MR Gasket Low Rider Air Filter #4339 right at the point
where it intersects the carb, from the carb to the top of the filter.
