When Eliot (our 53 TD) arrived in '98, he sported a new Sears Die Hard. I
noted that after we came back from a drive, there was liquid around the
filler ports of the battery. In putting the problem to the "List", and the
suggestion was to readjusted the regulator but that did not solve the
problem. Even with a Sure Charge V for maintenance, the liquid appeared.
The Die Hard died and it was replaced with an Interstate. That Interstate is
stilling serving me after 7 years. It is also placed on maintenance with a
Sure Charge V in the off season and not a drop of liquid is seen. Oh, yes, I
did return the regulator settings to what it originally was. Lesson learned.
Good luck.

Subject: [Mg-t] MG TF Battery size
Hi Folks. The battery in my '54 TF has bit the dust, and I need a
replacement. Is the Group 26 the best replacement? The one in there now is a
34R, which doesn't seem to be a common number.
Thanks for your help.
