>From all indications, the socket is defective and will have to be replaced.
The shared opinion in the list is that removing the wood screws holding in the
entire panel is the route to go. That is, opposed to attempting to remove only
the panel where the indicator is located. So that will be my project after the
show this weekend.
Thank you all for your advice and suggestions.
